Levine Presents "Music for the People: 18th to 20th Century Trios"

In 1920s Paris, Francis Poulenc and “Les Six” put a new spin on the Neoclassical style. The Poulenc Trio for oboe, bassoon and piano marries humor and modernity with influences including Haydn, Mozart, and Saint-Saëns. Composers Jean Françaix and Andre Previn later drew on the cultural movement Poulenc catalyzed.

Featuring: Jamila Tekalli, piano, Jamie Roberts, oboe, Joey Grimmer, bassoon
